THE DEVELOPING OUR YOUTH ORGANIZATION HOSTS MUNICIPAL CIVILITY CONFERENCE AT SOUTH SUBURBAN COLLEGE
South Holland, IL- April 10, 2024 – Developing Our Youth Organization announces the Municipal Civility Conference, scheduled to take place at South Suburban College on Friday, April 19th, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Centered around the theme of fostering civility among today's youth and local municipalities, the conference promises enriching panel discussions and interactive workshops. Noteworthy speakers set to participate include Commissioner Monica Gordon, Pastor Anthony Williams, Rod Chaney, Executive Director of Developing Our Youth Organization, Jack Solomon, Lead Program Director at Developing Our Youth Organization, Maceo Rainey, Vice-President of United Way, Christopher Crater of the Obama Foundation; and Dr. Eric Kellogg, Educational Consultant for Developing Our Youth Organization. Invited guests include former Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White; U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis; Illinois State Representative LaShawn K. Ford; Illinois State Representative Napoleon B. Harris, III; Illinois State Representative Debbie Meyers Martin; Al Kendal of the Cook County Government; Apostle Dr. William McCoy; political consultant Wallace Gator Bradley; and many more esteemed individuals.
"The conference aims to involve stakeholders committed to promoting civility, including local municipal partners and political representatives. Through collaborative dialogue, participants will discuss strategies for promoting civility across various sectors of society and explore avenues for fostering positive societal changes," stated Jack Solomon of Developing our Youth Organization. Solomon expressed enthusiasm about initiating conversations around civility, not only with youth but also with other key stakeholders in the Chicagoland area. Solomon added, "The goal is to encourage positive engagement among youth and unity among political officials and local citizens. The conference is ready to commence, and the public is invited to participate in these educational workshops."
